Some Skyglobe representations of the night sky will be presented to show how planets move
The next 3 images show how Jupiter, Mars and Venus moved in 5-day intervals to form a triangular pattern in 1991. The dashed red line is the ecliptic.
Note how Jupiter is moving towards the west (right) while Mars and Venus are moving in the opposite (retrograde) direction.
Between the first and second images, Mars passes the Beehive Cluster. Between the second and third images, Venus passes the Beehive.
